Australian Bobath Neuro-Developmental Therapy Association Membership
The aims of the association ABNDTA is a professional association committed to the principles of
Bobath – Neuro Developmental therapy. In Australia the association aims to:

Represent the interests of ABNDTA members;

Pursue and maintain the highest ethical standards in carrying out Bobath Neuro-Developmental therapy;

Provide professional development and Post graduate courses in Bobath and Neuro-Developmental therapy;

Encourage and support research related to Bobath and Neuro-Developmental therapy;
-
Assist in educating the medical profession, allied health professionals and parents in the role,
philosophy and benefits or Bobath Neuro-Developmental therapy;

Facilitate the exchange of information concerning Bobath and Neuro-Developmental therapy between
members of the association and with other associations around the world;
Who can become a Member?
Membership to ABNDTA is open to people who are interested in the philosophy and principles
of Bobath Neuro developmental therapy. There are two categories of membership.
Category 1.
People who have successfully completed at least one ABNDTA recognised basic course in the
treatment of children with Cerebral Palsy. Category 1 members are voting members of the association.
Category 2.
People and or organisations who support the philosophy and principles of ABNDTA but who have not
completed an ABNDTA recognised basis course. Category 2 members are non-voting members of the
association.
